Welcome to the Website of Cloverfield Community Church.

Cloverfield Community Church is an LEP (Local Ecumenical Project) which was jointly sponsored by the Diocese of Norwich and the United Reformed Church. The church was ‘planted’ in 1992 initially worshipping within a nursery on the Cloverfield Estate. Our purpose built building was put into use in the year 2000.

We have links through the Anglican Church to the churches in the Thetford Team Ministry but more specifically to St. Cuthbert’s and Grace Church which meets at the Bishops Church School on the Abbey Estate. Cloverfield Community Church is also part of the Mid Anglia Group of United Reformed Churches, along with the United Reformed Church in Earls Street, Thetford. We try to hold joint services with our partner churches periodically through the year.

The Thetford Anglican Parish is also twinned with Holmsund Parish in Lulea, Sweden. Our partner church is Solbacka Kyrkan. We have enjoyed exchange visits and remember each other in our prayers.

Our Mission Statement

Cloverfield Church seeks to be:
  • A welcoming hub for the local community where Christ’s love can be experienced
  • A united family, caring for one another and God’s world; worshipping, praying and learning together
  • A committed group of God’s followers who bring his words and works to others
  • A signposting of opportunities to discover a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
Prayer Ministry

We have a prayer team available who have the goal of seeking to provide ways to strengthen and enhance the prayer life of our church. They also seek to provide a safe place for healing and deliverance.

Praying for our community is important to us so we pray for 3 roads from the Cloverfield Estate each week on a rota basis.

HOME GROUPS

We have two home groups currently, one meets in the afternoon and one in the evening. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month.

SILVERTHREADS

Every Tuesday afternoon – Our over 65s afternoon tea club.

Cloverfield is a Fairtrade church.   The FT movement seeks to guarantee a better deal for farmers and workers in the developing world.  We support these aims by our use of FT tea and coffee after our services  and by promoting the  use of other FT goods when we can.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

We support this project led by an International Christian Charity, Samaritan’s Purse. Each year we send a number of shoeboxes filled with gifts to children who would otherwise receive nothing at Christmas. To support this we have a monthly stall selling items to go into shoeboxes to help spread the cost.
